PlayLab Inc for RCOS
When we started working with Reese on the branding for RCOS, we would, for better or worse, often trail away from the literal and talk about the brand in metaphor. We spoke about how RCOS differed from his eponymous brand like how a rock differs from a pine tree. They live in the same ecosystem, sharing many things, but are also totally different. We wanted RCOS to feel more approachable and a bit more playful—something you want to pick up and toss around. Something to collect, that you're proud to wear down, and that is small on its own but infinitely large in aggregate as a community. But the metaphor came full circle when we made one of our main design decisions: to make the custom typeface a collection of rocks.
